We have a vacancy for a Teaching Assistant to work from 8.45 am to 3.30 pm five days a week. The role may involve classroom support, small group interventions as well as one to one support for a pupil. Part-time hours may be considered for the right candidate.

We are a happy, friendly school in a vibrant village community. Our aim is to provide a supportive and nurturing learning environment for everyone – older children are encouraged to care for and support younger children; younger children are taught how to respect and care for each other. We know that having the right staff will enable us to achieve this and wish to appoint an enthusiastic, hard-working teaching assistant who will put our children first.

The successful applicant will have experience of working in schools and/or nurseries and an understanding of how children think and learn. You will see the children as being at the heart of everything you do and will recognise each of them as individuals with potential. You will be patient, resilient and committed to high expectations for everyone. You will be comfortable taking direction from teachers as well as applying your own initiative to promote learning.

Greens Norton is a village primary school with brilliant children and a friendly committed staff. We are small enough that every child is known to every adult in school, but large enough to provide a variety of opportunities for our children to flourish. Extensive grounds support our evolving curriculum and high standards of teaching enable children to achieve and succeed.

Greens Norton Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and safer recruitment practice, and expects all its staff to share this commitment.  An enhanced DBS check is required for all successful applicants and references will be requested for short-listed applicants prior to interview and will form part of the interview process.  The successful applicant will also be expected to undertake a medical questionnaire.

We would encourage all potential applicants to visit our school prior to submitting an application form. Please contact the school office to arrange a suitable time by phoning 01327 350648 or by emailing bursar@greensnorton.northants-ecl.gov.uk.

Closing date                      5pm Monday 18th November 2019

We look forward to hearing from you.
