Curriculum
The purpose of our curriculum is to give our children the foundations needed for a successful future in education and then employment. Our aim is for all children to have the opportunity to gain the skills and knowledge outlined in the National Curriculum in ways that are fun, relevant and challenging. This sometimes requires us to adapt, extend and personalise our curriculum to meet the needs of different children. Each term classes are introduced to a new topic, designed to inspire both children and adults. High quality texts, visitors into school and trips away from school linked closely to the term's topic, enrich our curriculum and provide opportunities for something a little bit different, memorable and fun, aimed at growing the children's cultural capital.
Health and well-being are an important part of our curriculum provision. We are fortunate to have extensive grounds, making outdoor learning a natural part of our children's daily experience.
Our Curriculum Statement outlines in more detail our intent and how as a school we endeavour to meet our aims. For further information about our curriculum, please contact the Headteacher.
Our Long Term Curriculum Plans below provide an overview of the planned learning for each subject for each year group across the year.
