Art

At Greens Norton Primary School pupils develop confidence in their own creativity and ability to express themselves through art, craft and design. We equip pupils with the knowledge and skills to experiment, invent and create their own pieces as they explore in a progressive way the visual elements of art and design – line, tone, texture, colour, pattern, shape and 3D form. Opportunities are provided for pupils to experiment with different techniques – drawing, painting, collage, printing, textiles and sculpture - at different points in their primary school career, with clear expectations identified for different ages. Pupils are helped to think critically and evaluate creative works using an increasing breadth of language associated with art, craft and design.
