Governors
We have an Academy Governance Committee (AGC) that has some delegated responsibilities from the Trust Board of Directors as outlined in the Trust’s Scheme of Delegation. They engage with our local community. They do not hold the academy to account but carry out the following role:
Vision and Values
- Agree the vision and values for the academy with reference to the SIAMS Schedule, in partnership with the academy community, ensuring they are aligned with the Trust’s Vision and embracing equality.
- Monitor that the vision and the values are being ‘lived out’ in all aspects of the life of the academy.

Ruth Fox - Community Governor - Chair of Governors Joining as a co-opted governor, I am enjoying getting to know the school. I work with different types of organisations, including government departments, helping them design, plan and deliver change. I hope to contribute towards and support the school leaders and staff in providing the best possible education to all its pupils. |
Tom Leeming - Parent Governor - Vice chair of Governors I currently have a daughter at the School with two more children due to join in the future. I was keen to join the Board of Governors in order to more fully understand how the School is run and also to help support the School in any way possible. I am a Chartered Surveyor with an interest in the estates side of the School. I am also keen to promote sports and raise much needed funds. |
Louisa Woods – Community Governor I joined the Governing Body in July 2015. I help organise and run a preschool group of children with their parents/carers once a week in St Bartholomew's. I am keen to grow a strong connection between the school and the church to develop a good community spirit that embeds a happy, moral ethos in the heart of Greens Norton School. |
Sarah Mills - Community Governor I joined the Governing body in January 2019. Since that time I have been asked to take up the roles of lead for Safeguarding and Pupil Premium. I currently work in Education as Head of Education Entitlement for Coventry City Council, my portfolio encompasses Looked After Children, Hospital Education, Exclusions, Admissions, Pupil Referral Unit plus many other traded elements of our service, Music, Outdoor Education, Attendance to name a few. I have previously held positions in Northamptonshire County Council as the Admissions and School Place Planning Manager, Brooke Weston Trust Academy as Operations Manager and Campion School as Administration and Cover Manager. Since taking up my role as Governor, I have continued to learn from the Senior Leadership at the school and have found the role rewarding in terms of supporting and challenging the staff to ensure we are delivering the best education we are able to the children attending Greens Norton school. |
Claire Reetz - Church Governor I am the Children and Families worker for the Tove Benefice of churches which includes St. Bartholomew's in Greens Norton. I joined as a foundation governor in September of 2019. My role within the church is to encourage and support children and families in their faith. I do this through working in schools leading collective worship and lunch time groups as well as running preschool groups, Sunday groups and supporting church services. As governor I hope to build on the great relationship that the school has with the church and continue to support its Christian ethos. I enjoy working alongside the children and their teachers to support them during their time at Greens Norton CE Primary. |
Lucy Sanger- Parent Governor I became a governor at the beginning of 2020 and currently have a daughter at the school. I have previous experience as a governor during my son's time at the school and gained a great deal of knowledge and experience throughout that time. I am keen to further that knowledge, as well as support and work with all members of the school community to help provide the best possible education in a safe and happy environment. |
