Monday 23rd March 2020

Good Morning Robins,

I hope you are all well and have enjoyed a restful weekend.

To complete your home-learning, either use some plain paper or the green exercise book that was given out on Friday.

Today’s learning tasks are explained below. Please remember that you don’t need to print these out.

Maths – Find and Measure

Today I’d like you to continue your measuring practise. You can use anything from around your home as your measuring unit; paperclips, lego pieces (as long as they are the same size!) or a ruler (cm’s). Can you measure objects around your home and record in sentences in your book. As a challenge, measure some larger objects with either your hands or feet. Use the Monday Maths sheet for guidance.

Literacy – Writing Task
How did the giraffe get on the moon?! Use Monday Literacy  sheet for the picture reference.

  1. Think of a sentence.
  2. Hold it in your head by repeating it lots of times.
  3. Sound out tricky words.
  4. Read your sentence to check it makes sense.

Science – Materials

Can you go on a materials hunt around your house and list all the hard materials you find and all the soft. Hard materials might include diamond or ceramic. Soft materials might include leather.

List them under 2 headings: Hard and Soft. I wonder if you can find over 10 different materials?

If you still have some time – perhaps you could start a jigsaw puzzle.

Enjoy your learning today!
