Monday 23rd March 2020

Good Morning Kingfishers!

I hope you are all well and managed to have a good weekend.

I will post daily activities for you to complete on this page. Remember, the activities that I share with you don't require any printing; you can do them straight into your home learning books.

If you would like to, you can decorate your home learning book cover.

Remember you can go on Times Table Rock Stars. The link is below.

Maths

Today in maths, I would like you to revise addition and subtraction by completing the calculations - see maths document. I would then like you to apply these skills to the problems which are on the first page. I have also added in some extra addition and subtraction problems for you to have a go at. These can be found on the second page under "extension."

Literacy

For today's literacy activity, I would like you to create a setting description of the beach - see setting description file. There is an image for you to view to help with your ideas. I would like you to consider all of the writing techniques we have practised, such as alliteration, personification and fronted adverbials.

Science

We are going to review some of our learning on sound - see sound survey. Walk around your house or your garden and make a list of all the sounds you can hear. Once you have done this, describe their pitch and volume. Is each sound low or high? Are they loud or quiet? When you have described each sound, explain how we hear these sounds. You may choose to do this in a written format or a diagram.

I hope you have a good day Kingfishers!
