Hello again Herons,

I hope you enjoyed your weekend. Are you getting used to completing your learning at home? It still feels odd that I don't get to see you all everyday.

Last week, I started my day by doing Joe Wicks PE which really cheered me up even if I was sweaty! David Walliams is also reading stories at 11:30 on his website or you can simply pick up a book and spend some time reading.

I hope you are getting on well in Maths. We will continue with this link today http://www.iseemaths.com/lessons34/

Hello Herons!

I hope you have enjoyed the weekend and are now ready for some learning in your new books. You don’t need to print the activities out if you don't want to.  Just make sure you write the date and subject at the top that would be super. Feel free to decorate the front cover if you'd like to.

Literacy

Use the templates attached to help you design a hand washing super hero. Think about how your hero would make people wash their hands. When you have finished write a character description, include sentences about their personality (inside) and appearance (outside). Try to use the grammar features we have been learning in school.

Maths

We are going right back to place value! Perhaps you could play coconut ordering on the Topmarks website ( https://www.topmarks.co.uk/ordering-and-sequencing/coconut-ordering) to warm up your Maths brain. Start by ordering the numbers from smallest to largest on the first sheet or straight into your book. Then complete at least one (if not both) of the activities on the second sheet.

Topic

Read the texts all about two Iron Age Hillforts to refresh your memory. Use the information you have learnt in and out of school to create an informative leaflet all about Hillforts. You could make it interactive and have secret pockets or lift the flaps. Keep them in the plastic wallet; I’d love to see them!

Enjoy your day!
